Heralds Compete at International for the 17th Time!

On July 4, 2009 the Heralds of Harmony once again competed in the Barbershop Harmony Society's annual International chorus contest.

This year's convention and competition was held at the beautiful HONDA CENTER in Anaheim, California and featured the best chorus and quartet singing in the world.

The Heralds came home with hearts full of gratitude for the chance to represent the Sunshine Distict for the 17th time in the past 18 years. The guys placed 22nd in the world and are delighted with having moved up several places in the ranks from the previous year's contest.

This year's competition package included the songs, "Miss You/Lost You Medley" and "Just in Time" under the capbable leadership of HoH director, Bill Billings.  Many thanks to Bill, along with assistant director Byron Poore, chorus events manager Nick Schwob, and the outstanding HoH coaches, Steve Jamison and Mark Schlinkert.  And of course, it goes almost without saying that the Heralds would be nothing without the tremendous love and support of their families and friends.

The Anaheim convention brings to a close another busy contest season... and sets the stage for the guys to renew their efforts for the coming fall contest in Jacksonville... and on to Christmas '09.
